I am sorry that we were not able to attend our 40th class reunion but in June we had a family reunion, a vacation, a wedding and our mother's 85th birthday celebration in early July.

Anyway, I will share just a little about my family. I have been married about 33 years. My husband has his own computer consulting business in Bismarck and I am a Database Administrator for Basin Electric and have been with the company for 34 years. We have traveled a lot in the last 6 years which has been exciting and adventurous.

Anyway, we have three adorable children: Christie – age 30, Andrea – age 29 and Aaron – age 26. Christie is a Vice Principal in Denver – her husband is a financial planner for Charles Schwab, Andrea is a staff writer for Basin Electric and her husband practices Eastern medicine primarily Acupuncture in Bismarck and Aaron is 26 and a marketing director for a sport development program in Denver and just got engaged so wedding next summer. We have also been blessed with 3 beautiful grandchildren – Christie has two children: Ethan Daniel is 2 yrs 4 mths, Camdyn Taylor is 6 mths. Andrea has a gorgeous daughter McKenzie Arin 1yr 7mths.

I know I speak for Debbie as well as myself – wishing everyone God’s speed, health and happiness as we slowly move into our ‘Golden Years’. Everyone knows all the work that is required to put a reunion together and I am certain it was so appreciated and everyone had a wonderful time. My best to the MHS class of ‘1968’.

I never left the Mandan area as it was a great place to grow up and was exactly where I wanted to raise my family.  Currently my husband Marc and I do as much traveling as we can. We took a trip to Florida this year and frequently visit Hawaii.

My son Bryan currently lives in Minneapolis and owes his own cleaning business. Shawn, my daughter, lives in Oregon with her Husband Troy Steiner and their 2 children Spencer (5) and Abbi (3). My 3rd oldest, Dustin, lives in Mandan with his wife Carla and their 2 children Katie (5) and Warren (2). Josh, the youngest lives in Madison, WI and is planning his wedding to take place in sunny Mexico this coming January 2009. Marc's son Calvin is currently serving in the Air Force out of Georgia with his wife Kristy and their daughter Kaiya (3). Cody, Marc's youngest, lives in Boise Idaho and works for Micron Software.

It has been a great pleasure working with our class reunion committee and I look forward to the upcoming events!

Wow, 40 years!  How did we get this old, this fast?  Our family spent 20 years of this time in the Air Force.  We have two sons and one grandson all living  far from us.

Can't wait to see you all. Be warned though, I'm a Grandma and I carry pictures. LOL!

Other than a short three year stint in Washington, I've been living in Mandan.  For the past 16 years we've been living on the river and loving it.   We will have our 40th wedding anniversary in August and are very lucky to have four grandsons, who live within a mile of us.  Two of our children live in Mandan, we have a daughter in Minneapolis, and another daughter in Washington.  I always thought old people said this; but I'm looking forward to retirement.  See you at the class reunion.

I'm still living in Bowman, ND and officially retired from Social Work in March, 2004.  I work 1 to 7 days a month as a receptionist/secretary at a local law firm and also do the bookwork for my husband's construction business, just to keep me out of trouble.  Our oldest son, David,  is a pilot in the USAF, stationed as an instructor at Vance AFB in Enid, OK and will be married on Dec. 27, 2008.  Our youngest son, Mike, works with his dad and just got married on May 24.  I am really looking forward to seeing everyone at the 40th reunion.

I won't be able to attend the reunion because we will be in North Dakota on August 15-18 for a Kahl family reunion.  We are now living in Scott City, Kansas and have been for 38 years.  My wife, Sandra Erskin, and I have 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren.   Both of our son-in-laws are in farming.  I farm with my oldest daughter's husband.  We are very busy in our church and in our community.  Sorry we won't be at the reunion.

Thanks to the planning committee for pulling together the 40th year class reunion. My parents, along with my seven brothers and sisters are still alive ... two brothers have already retired. I have two daughters and six grandchildren, both of whom spend the majority of time in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I remain a superintendent of schools, my 35th year in education, my 20th as a superintendent.
